We LOVE playing around with shampoos to try and find the perfect formula to get them

• SILKY

EVERY maltese needs a different formula for this optimal ALIGNMENT of COAT PERFECTION!
Our maltese are PET Maltese and thus our main goals are simply SILKY, STRAIGHT and MAT FREE.     Dolce recently celebrated a birthday, and so I gave her our special formulation to get her even WHITER then she already is.

It was a SIMPLE as  1-2-3

First ~~~ We brushed out her coat before bathing to remove any unwanted mats

Next ~~~ We Clarified her coat with Pure Paws FACTOR ZERO = which happens to be a form of Enzymatic Whitener

NOW READY FOR THE 1-2-3 White WHITE?? Scary SNOWY White?   ARTIC ICEY WHITE? ^_^

SHAMPOO + WHITEN = 1 + 2

1 spoon of Pure Paws WHITE MAGIC + 2 spoons of AMPLIFY Shampoo ======= Dilute the 1+2 in Water ==== APPROXIMATELY 1 portion of Shampoo to 10 portions of Water

CONDITION = 3

3 spoons of Pure Paws AMPLIFY Conditioner ============= Dilute  to a 1:8 ratio (this dilution varies depending on the coat requirements of the dogs we style/groom and (sometime I will use the Conditioner UNDILUTED)

(1+2) + 3 = WINTER WHITE

There has been a lot of questions about how whitening products work and if the White Magic dries out coat, Here is a slide that explains briefly what Pure Paws uses to make the White Magic. I can guarantee you that this product will not dry out any coat as long as you follow with a conditioner like with any normal shampoo.

We do not use bleaches or peroxides to create a whiter coat. Our goal is to take care of the skin and coat and not damage the coat to get the results we are looking for. There are other ways to make a coat look whiter like:

1. Optical Brightners (Brightening Shampoo – No Rinse)
2. Enzymes (Factor 0 and BioEnzymatic Spray)
3. Pigments and Bluing agent (White Magic)

They all work differently and will give different result. The most important thing is that NONE of these products will dry out or damage a coat like bleaching agents or peroxides.

Our Maltese Obsession friends that have followed up from the beginning know that our GO TO GROOMING SHAMPOO is the Pure Paws Reconstruction LINE (PURPLE BOTTLES) — the reason this is our GTGS is that we find that our dogs mat very little or not at all using the Reconstructing Line.

We do however augment this formula to add shine or to additionally bulk up the hair, depending on the needs and style we are shooting for.    There are many many different mixtures of Pure Paws shampoos that we use to achieve the style and look that we are trying to achieve, whether it be for our dogs or for a clients.    The owner of PURE PAWS, calls it the MIXOLOGY of PURE PAWS.

ANOTHER OPTION for WINTER WHITE would be to use the Reconstruction Shampoo and Conditioner:

(1 + 2) + 3 = (Spoon of Winter Magic + 2 Spoons of Reconstruction Shampoo) + 3 Spoons of Reconstruction Shampoo) = WINTER WHITE

OPTIONS ~~~ If the WHITE MAGIC is a scary product to use due to it’s very intense purple/violet pigment ~~~ try mixing in a SPRINKLE of the PP Star Line Brightening Shampoo instead.    Mix just a tiny spoon with your normal shampoo and it will also enhance the WHITE in your Maltese coat.   Condition, Condition, Condition the coat afterwards to ensure optimal results.
